“GATOR” AUTOMATIC BUTT FUSION MACHINE

The latest innovation from FG is the new range of “GATOR” Automatic Butt Fusion machine, which is the cutting edge in the development of Butt Fusion technology.

Gator, the “Snappy Performer” incorporates new and improved design concepts making the machine more efficient and robust. Its “FAST CLAMP” system increases on-site productivity by up to 30%.

The “GATOR” also comes with Fusion’s Data Transfer System, which not only provides review of on-site performance but also offers the opportunity to digitally download stored Information onto a PC.

DATA TRANSFER

Data Transfer offers the ability to review the on-site performance of Gator and its operation in all aspects of the jointing process. This unique products reduces the need for direct supervision on -site whilst monitoring standards of workmanship.

Details such as the number of joints made per day, pipe size, heater temperature and any errors preventing a successful joint are stored within the memory. This means the performance of both the operator and equipment is monitored without a supervisor present, saving time and money.

Any errors which prevent a good joint being made are recorded, highlighting any additional training requirements. Data Transfer offers the possibility to digitally download stored information onto a PC.

This facility when coupld with Data Transfer allows compliance with the latest ISO specification for pipeline jointing traceability.
