Official Launching of the Joint Venture

AWT Fusion Sdn. Bhd. is a Malaysian incorporated joint venture between Advanced Water Technology (M) Sdn. Bhd. of Malaysia (AWT) and Fusion Group of England (FG). The Company was set up in 1992 and has firmly established its place in Malaysia and in the Asia-Pacific (ASPAC) region as the first and only specialist company to market a full range of electrofusion fittings and automatic butt-fusion machines for jointing polyethylene (PE) pipes. These products are specially designed and manufactured by FG and are totally dedicated for use in jointing PE pipes in water and gas distribution systems and other engineering applications.

FG is the recognised world leader in PE pipe jointing technology. Through research and from experience gained worldwide, FG has continued to spearhead the technological advancement within the PE pipeline industry. The ‘FAST’ automatic butt-fusion machines and ‘Fusamatic’ electrofusion fittings are the core products of FG, which are the benchmarks for ingenuity, quality and performance.

AWT Fusion is the exclusive licensee of FG for marketing their products in Malaysia and in the ASPAC region.

AWT Fusion has two subsidiary companies, namely AWT Fusion Marine Sdn. Bhd. and PE Pipes Systems Sdn. Bhd. The former is a joint venture between AWT Fusion and Fusion Marine of England while the latter is local Malaysian company.

AWT Fusion Marine currently provides services in the construction of fish cages offshore using PE pipes and would soon be setting up a marine fish hatchery in Malaysia to produce fry for marine fish farms in Malaysia and elsewhere in the ASPAC region.

PE Pipe System provides designs and supplies state-of-the-art-jointing systems for PE pipelines for gas and water distribution and other industrial applications.

AWT Fusion is located in Hicom Glenmarie Industrial Park in Shah Alam, Selangor. The administrative office, warehouse and equipment service centre are all housed within the two blocks of industrial buildings.

All these products have been introduced and successfully used in Malaysia and other countries in the ASPAC region for over a decade now.
